Lafayette's Angel Food
one 12 ounce ctn. of Cool Whip 1 large angel food cake 2 packages of gelatin 1/4 cup of cold water 1 cup of hot water 1 cup of sugar 2 teaspoons of lemon juice one can of crushed pineapple
Instructions:
Soften gelatin first in cold water, then dissolve it in hot water. Stir in sugar, lemon juice and pineapple. Chill until it thickens. Fold Cool whip into gelatin mixture. Break up cake. Layer cake in pan with gelatin mixture. Sprinkle each gelatin layer with coconut (Angel Flake) or only on the top.
