Holiday Macaroons 4 Eggs 1 1//2 cups of sugar 2/3 cup of all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1/4 teaspoon of salt 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine; melted 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 5 cups of flaked coconut 1 Jar maraschino cherries, 10 ounces

Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly until thick and pate yellow. Stir together dry ingredients; fold into egg mixture. Stir in butter, vanilla and coconut. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased and floured cookie sheets. Top with cherries. Bake at 325ºF. for 10-13 minutes. Yield: about 6 dozen.
